Volunteers Needed to Cut Down Trees
Posted April 24, 2005

In Clay Township and on Harsens Island, St. Clair County, Michigan there are two EAB infested trees which we know need to be removed. The state MDA knows about both. One is about a mile and a half from the Canadian border and the state has said they will not remove it because it is over a mile. The other is also about a mile and a half from the Canadian border, but is on Harsens Island, and they have not removed it though they told us they would.

We need volunteers to get this work done. Even if you are not comfortable handling chain saws or climbing trees we can use your help with picking up small pieces of bark after the cut-down to make sure it is 100% gone.

If you are interested in helping please call John Horvath at 810-748-0020.

Thank You,
